From humble beginnings to global presence we continue to stay true to our roots and our beliefs.

Where We Came From

We began in 1910, in the Bemis neighborhood of Watertown, making adhesive coatings and chewing gum base. Through the years we’ve pivoted the business to adapt to changing markets. But always with the same belief in the value of our people above all else.

A New Direction

In 1982, Steve Howard took up the helm, leading us into new industries and expanding our presence in existing ones. In 1990 we moved to a new, modern facility in Shirley, Massachusetts. We have since added centers in Vietnam, Hong Kong and London. Steve continues to guide today, towards new innovations and exponential growth - without losing sight of the values that make us what we are.

The Future Looks Amazing

We are on a trajectory that promises to only get better and better. Our associations are strong and productive. The collaboration we find with our partners puts us in a unique position to innovate and explore with them, arm in arm. And as industries change there is an ever-growing place for our products and our ecosystem. So long sewing. Cut and bond is here to stay.
